Why our Sports PT works

We don’t just treat pain—we rebuild the speed, control, and power your sport demands.

  • Strength & power profiling to find asymmetries and bottlenecks.
  • Agility & deceleration training for safer cutting and landing.
  • Return‑to‑sport testing with objective milestones—not guesswork.

Who we help

Field & court athletes (soccer, basketball, lacrosse) Runners & track Pickleball & racquet sports Lifters & Cross‑training Cycling & rowing Youth to masters athletes Common injuries: ankle sprain, hamstring strain, PFPS, shoulder pain Post‑op return: ACL, meniscus, RTC, labrum
Action shot: athlete training agility as part of Sports PT

Our approach: Assess → Build → Return

Assess

Profile capacity and control.

  • Force plate testing: symmetry, rate of force, landing strategy
  • Movement screening & joint angle analysis
  • Strength metrics (isometric/rep max surrogates)

Build

Progressive load & skill.

  • Strength & power blocks (tempo, volume, velocity emphasis)
  • Plyometrics & landing mechanics
  • Agility, deceleration, and change‑of‑direction

Return

Get back with confidence.

  • Return‑to‑sport testing with objective thresholds
  • Sport‑specific conditioning & workload ramp
  • Injury‑prevention plan for the next season

Technology that makes your training smarter

We use technology to target the right limiter and track change.

  • Force plates for jump profiling, landing forces, and asymmetry.
  • Surface EMG to train activation timing and reduce compensation.
  • Computer‑vision joint angles for technique, tempo, and rep quality.
  • Remote Therapeutic Monitoring for adherence and workload guidance.

What to expect

1) Evaluation

History, goals, and baseline testing (strength, symmetry, movement skills). We set priorities and outline your plan.

2) Build phase

Targeted programming across strength, power, plyometrics, and agility. We manage loads to grow capacity without flare‑ups.

3) Return‑to‑sport

Objective RTS testing, sport‑specific conditioning, and a practical injury‑prevention plan.

Program options

  • Initial PT Evaluation & Treatment (90 minutes) – Comprehensive assessment plus first treatment session.
  • Follow‑up Session (30–90 minutes) – Visit length matched to your needs and season timeline.
  • Hybrid & Remote PT Session – Telerehabilitation plus RTM and guided programming.

Billing & Access

Transparent pricing. Medicare accepted; hybrid cash‑based options available for others. We provide superbills upon request.

Direct access: In New York, many patients can start PT without a physician referral. If a referral is required for your plan, we’ll coordinate.

FAQs

How do you decide when I’m cleared to return to sport?

We use objective criteria—strength symmetry, jump/landing metrics, movement quality—and sport‑specific tests. You’ll see the targets and your progress.

Can you work with my coach or trainer?

Yes. With your permission, we share concise updates and coordinate workloads so rehab and training fit together.

Do you see youth athletes?

Absolutely. We scale challenge appropriately and teach technique that sticks.

What if I’m in season?

We’ll prioritize availability and performance—micro‑dosing strength and skill work while protecting recovery.
